Tunnel Vision

Things have become hectic. There are schools advocating one art excessively without seeing how well it holds up against others or even amongst the art’s own lineages. When you go to schools they state, “Forget what you have learned. Let me teach you from the ground up according to my style.” As if style can be compartmentalized! There is less unity than the divisive nature. There is a money game going on. This makes sense to a degree. If a cup is full, then how can one possibly fill it further? It must be emptied and then re-filled. However, this adage doesn’t consider the factor of unity. There are so many divisions in occurrence – divisions in how things are, they appear, they appear to be – that unity is overlooked. Everything is basically one – that’s how things can be related to one another.
