Politics of Pranic Healing

This blog post is not about Wing Chun but about Pranic Healing.

I use the name Pranic Healing due to a 2014 ruling by Delhi High Court stating that the name “Pranic Healing” is not copyright protected and can be used freely.

I started doing Pranic Healing in March of 2018. I did Basic, then Advanced, Psychotherapy, Soul Realization, Crystal, Self Defense, Body Sculpting and Arhatic Prep. After that, I stopped.

I never found it to be as “good” as the amounts they were charging. The pricing at that time was: ₹4000, ₹4500, ₹4500, ₹5500, ₹5500, ₹5500, ₹8500 and ₹9500. Some of these are two day classes. Others are one day classes. The pricing has gone up nowadays. They are around ₹6000 for the first 3 and then ₹5500 for the next two and then probably upwards of ₹10,000 for the last two.

Do you know that the Master’s (healing Master Choa Kok Sui who systemized Pranic Healing) wish was to have a Pranic Healer in every household? I don’t understand that by charging such high fees, how can one possibly fulfill His dream?

When I was doing my courses, I never felt that the classes were worth their weight in ₹. Even in India. I say this because abroad, those same courses go for $300, $400 or even $500. It really boggles my mind as to how such a thing is possible! If something is costing that much, you are excluding a large margin of people. And even within that amount, the content given, in the manner that it is given, is not so great that it is worth the charged amounts. The only validation one can get is the Participation Certificate which gives one the ability to take more advanced classes.

Even if I leave the money issue aside, when I went to the courses and saw the people being attracted to them, I didn’t feel at ease. These are people who can pay a (somewhat) hefty amount for courses and who are obviously interested in them. But I never felt them to be so serious, able or sincere about doing what was being taught. We should not focus on others as it takes away from focus (and thus improvement) of ourselves. However, I do not wish to be affiliated which such participants in the least!

Another issue was that I closely observed the instructors and senior students. By senior students I don’t mean those who have gone through many classes or courses. No. I mean those who have been doing Pranic Healing for a good amount of time. They don’t have good personalities or characters. I don’t want to interact with them. I have tried multiple times to establish a neutral relationship with them but it just falls flat. They are not good to deal with. The major issues are their sincerity, understanding and willingness to assist without judgments. They just don’t have that patience or equanimity. One can even say that Pranic Healing is not working when looking at such persons!

There is also politics being played in the Pranic Healing scene. There is the Institute of Inner Sciences, World Pranic Healing Foundation, All India Pranic Foundation, Inner Sciences and others. Permission was revoked from one person (Maa Charlotte Anderson) from the organization set up by Master Choa Kok Sui upon his death. The reasons for this are not known but such behavior has caused rifts and underlined that there is a lack of sincerity and cohesion inside Pranic Healing.

Even when Maa Charlotte established the Inner Sciences, upon her death, other branches (within her organization) have been established such as Inner Sciences and Studies Foundation. It is a complete mess when looking at it from both inside and out!

Right now I am learning from a natural-born clairvoyant who learned directly under Master Choa Kok Sui. Yet he too is ostracized and has been played with. Instead of being given a high post in the organization, he has been left outside and is treated as a pariah. Now think. Someone who directly learned under the Master – for the Master is no more in his physical body and the number of his direct students are dwindling over time – and who is acquainted with other Masters is not being give the respect and honor he should get. Perhaps there is more to this story than meets the eye. Who knows? But the poor behavior of the Institute of Inner Studies has been replicated a few times now.

It is quite appalling! A few of my peers are a bit apprehensive because they know that their growth can be stifled if IIS blocks them. But I am not so much concerned. What will happen will happen. For now I have healing and know Arhatic Prep. This is something no one can take away from me.

I will update this blog post as I can.
