Chi

We don’t want anything other than chi or prana training. It is kind of pointless to hone techniques that cannot be updated to every situation.
Reading the book, Mastery Mindset, the author (a practitioner of karate and aikido) has written about his own experiences facing and learning from masters who have a high level of internal power. These masters absorb power as well as transfer it seamlessly. This is what we want.
But this is only the starting point. It’s not that chi naturally builds – this may certainly be the case – and so we should continue our training until it naturally reflects outward. If we believe it to be actually powerful, then we should pursue activities that will lead us to increase this power.
Techniques are good and all but they are only basics. They cannot be depended upon not to change when things start going awry. We must have the ability to do anything we want, in any position we want to do it in.
